How do I make a custom interactive map?

Interactive maps are naturally engaging. Adding a custom-built map to your website can better showcase your location data and significantly increase your visitor engagement. But building a custom interactive map can be very time consuming and expensive.

We have always felt there has to be a better way to build interactive maps with your data. So, we built No Code Map App. No Code Map App is a no-code map builder designed with the sole mission of enabling anyone to build a custom interactive map with the freedom and flexibility of complete data integration and brand styling.

How to create interactive maps with No Code Map App

  1. Create a No Code Map App account and click on New map.

  2. Select a template that best suits your use-case and audience.

  3. Import location data. For each location, you can include anything including descriptions, photos, audio, call to action links, categories and more.

  4. Customize your map design and layout to suit your branding and style preferences.

  5. Publish your map

Step 1 - Create an account and a new map

Go to https://www.nocodemapapp.com/ and click on Sign up to create an account.

Once signed up, click on the New Map button.

Then you will see a new map page. It will show a blank map page for now.

Step 2 - Choose a map template

In our template section, we have a library of custom-built map templates designed for a variety of industries and use-cases, including General, Timeline, Events, Restaurants, Property, and Store locators. You can choose one that suits your needs and use-case (tip - when in doubt, you can always just use the General template which can handle almost all use cases).

Step 3 - Import your location data

To import data, you can either copy/paste from a spreadsheet or sync with Google Sheets/Airtable/ Webflow CMS.

In setting up your data, you can include any kind of data:

  • Address or coordinates

  • Text (for description, category, names etc)

  • Website links (will be shown as clickable links)

  • Third party app links (can be used as custom call to action)

  • Dates

  • Number

  • Image and audio file links

and more! Really you can include anything in your dataset.

Instant map from your data - once your location data has been imported, our map builder will automatically generate an interactive map customized to your data in seconds.

Your map will come complete with everything you need to capture your audience's attention for longer and convert them directly:

  • Media gallery (images, audio and video)

  • Custom filters

  • Search bar

  • Custom calls to action

Step 4 - Customise your map

With our intuitive map builder, you can customise everything with just a few clicks. Our list of customisation features include: image gallery, map filters, pop up modal, calls to action, side bar list view, map theme, font and colour and more!

And now, our map is ready to be published!

Step 5 - Publish your map

To publish your map, simply click on the Publish button and you will see 2 options:

  1. An embed code so you can embed the map onto your website, or

  2. Publish the map as a standalone page

We would love it if you could give it a try and let us know what you think! :)
