How do I create a business locator map?

Updated: Feb 25, 2023

If you have a business with multiple locations, one of the best tools to engage your site visitors and convert them into potential sales is add an interactive map to your website. But create an on-brand interactive map showcasing your network of business locations can be very complicated and expensive, especially if you want custom filters and call-to-action buttons to guide your visitors.

This is a map from one of our users showcasing its network of consultants with a custom call-to-action button to contact and book a time with that consultant.

With No Code Map App, you can create a business locator map instantly by simply using your existing data. All it takes is 3 simple steps.

  1. Pick a template for your use-case

  2. Link in your data

  3. Customise the map to your exact preference including map filters and call-to-action buttons.

Step 1: Pick a template for your use-case

We can created a library of ready-to-use templates so you can get your map going right away. When in doubt, you can always use our General Template which can handle all kinds of dataset.

Step 2: Import your data

Now you can choose a method to import your data. You can do a simple copy and paste or connect your Google Sheets / Airtable / Webflow CSM for a more dynamic experience.

If you are not sure about how to set up your data, we have a sample dataset for you to use as reference. Of course you don't need to follow it exactly. In fact, our map builder is so intelligent you can include any kind of data in your dataset.

The only requirement is in order to map your locations, we do need:

  1. "address" (or "location") column

  2. "name" column

Upon importing, we will show all of your data columns and for each map you can choose up to 15 columns of data.

Step 3: Customise your map

Once your data has been connect, now the fun part starts! You can customise your map to your preferred marker, color, font, zoom level, and search bar setting etc. More importantly and uniquely to us is you can customise your data display, map filters and call-to-action buttons.

No Code Map App is the only custom map maker that auto-generates customisable map filters and call-to-actions based on your dataset. Typically these are only seen on custom-built interactive maps. Now you can have them too!

With customised map filters and call-to-action buttons, it will significantly improve your user engagement and transform a nice looking interactive map into a revenue-generator!

With the right map filter and call-to-action buttons, you can link your interactive map with your other business tools (like Google Form, Stripe, PayPal, Calendly), and turn your interactive map into a "shoppable" map where your site visitors could directly:

  • Buy or pay

  • Subscribe

  • Contact

  • Fill in a form

You can connect pretty much any internal or external site/tool to your custom call-to-action button and turn your interactive map into a powerful business generator!

Give it a try and let us know what you think! :)
